SOLUTION:

Total load= 30 + 20 + 12 * 3 = 86kN

S.F.D ( SHEAR FORCE DIAGRAM)
FA= 20kN
FB = 86 kN (30+20+12×3= 86 kN)
FC = 86kN(30 + 20 + 12 × 3 = 86kN)
Max S.F. occurs at Fixed end C
FC =F max =86 kN (Same in BC)

B.M.D ( BENDING MOMENT DIAGRAM)
M_{A} = 0
M_{B} = – 20 × 3 – (12 × 3) 3/2
= – 60 – 54 = – 114kNm
M_{C} = – 20 × 4.2 – 30 × 1.2 – (12 × 3)(3/2 + 1.2)
= – 84 – 36 – 97.2 = – 217.2 kNm
Max B.M occurs at fixed end C and its value
= – 217.2kNm = 217.2 kNm (hogging)
